Everton working on late loan deal for 30-year-old England international

Everton are facing a frantic end to the transfer window after seeing one of their key attacking players depart.

Iliman Ndiaye is heading to Manchester City in a deal reportedly worth up to £65million, with the clubs having agreed terms and the Senegal international cleared to complete his medical with Enzo Maresca’s side.

That leaves Everton needing to act quickly for a replacement, and they could now turn to the very club taking Ndiaye away from them.

Everton Working on Second Grealish Loan

Everton are working on a deal to bring Jack Grealish back to Merseyside on loan, with talks underway between the Toffees and Manchester City, according to The Athletic.

Grealish, 30, spent last season at Everton and produced 22 appearances, contributing two goals and six assists before a stress fracture in his foot ended his campaign prematurely in January.

Despite the injury, Everton were keen to retain the England international, and they now appear to have another opportunity to do so.

Grealish has featured for City this season, coming off the bench in their Community Shield defeat to Arsenal and Premier League win over Bournemouth. However, he was left out of the squad for their 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

He has not represented England since 2024, and his international prospects have subsequently faded, but a return to Everton could offer him the regular football he needs.

With Ndiaye heading in the opposite direction and City’s attacking options also changing following the departures of Sávio and Omar Marmoush to Tottenham, the final days of the window could see Grealish make another temporary switch.

For Everton, bringing back a player who already knows the club would provide a familiar solution at a time when they urgently need to replace Ndiaye’s production.
