Nottingham Forest face a crunch game against West Brom this weekend in a match that could be decisive in the promotion race come the end of the season.
The Reds need to bounce back after a disappointing midweek defeat to Charlton but the win over Leeds prior to that shows that they are capable of beating the best teams in the Championship. Some fans think that one of the biggest reasons for defeat against the Addicks was the number of changes Sabri Lamouchi made to the side, with several first team regulars like Samba Sow, Sammy Ameobi and Lewis Grabban not featuring.
The latter was ruled out with injury and there has been doubt (per the Nottingham Post) over his availability for today’s visit to The Hawthorns, but a few Forest fans have stumbled on some optimistic news.
It comes in the form of Nottingham Forest’s under-23 team selection, with the inclusion of Danny Da Costa leading some supporters to think that Grabban may actually be available, as Da Costa would be in first team contention if Grabban wasn’t fit. Whether the striker will feature against the Baggies is yet to be seen, but given that he has 16 league goals this term, it is fair to say that his inclusion would be a massive boost, particularly as Forest thought they would be without him.
Here are some comments from fans who are hoping for Grabban to be involved.
Da Costa playing today would suggest Grabban is fit for tomorrow with Tyler on bench #nffc

Augustin played for Leeds U23 last Friday but was on the bench against us the day after, but hopefully Grabban starts tomorrow 🤞🏻

Grabban fit for tomorrow then surprise surprise. Da Costa playing for u23s so they wouldn’t have risked him there if Walker was going to be the only striker.

With Nuno playing today, meaning he probably won’t tomorrow, does that mean Grabban will be fit for tomorrow’s game?

You think that means grabbs is fit?? Mind it didnt stop leeds playing augustin in a u23 game the night before us and he still came on, maybe Nuno might be still on the bench tomorrow?

With Da Costa playing today for the under 23s would thst suggest Grabban is fit for tomorrow or is da Costa just going to play half a game and be on the bench again with walker starting against wba 🤔 #nffc
