Former West Ham United boss close to landing Hammers star

Ravel MorrisonThere is news of a possible loan switch reaching us in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening.

The Daily Star report that highly rated West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison will sign for the Championship promotion candidates Queens Park Rangers, but not until next Friday.

The Hoops have delayed the 93-day loan so that the England Under-21 international would be eligible to feature in the Championship Play-Off Final if Harry Redknapp’s side make it there.

There are confused looks around the tavern as some punters thought that Morrison was a key member of the Hammers side after some impressive performances earlier in the season.

However it has since been revealed that the youngster has fallen out with Irons boss Sam Allardyce and that combined with a drop off in form has seen the 21-year-old shipped out for the rest of the season.

The former Manchester United trainee continues to frustrate despite his obvious talents and it is now hoped that a spell in the second tier could do him good.

West Ham United fans. Are you disappointed that you won’t see Morrison in the claret and blue for the remaining weeks of the season? Let us know your thoughts below.
