Those three points take them within touching distance of the top two, sitting four points behind West Brom and just one behind Leeds. Sabri Lamouchi has used his squad well; even Tyler Walker came on to score on Saturday, and if they can maintain a run of six wins in nine league games then they have a good chance of finishing in the automatic spots.
Joe Lolley set up the second against the Whites and the winger impressed once more with three key passes and a WhoScored rating of 8.1, the highest of any player on the pitch. It wasn’t just his football that has caught the eye, however, as supporters have been reacting to a joke he made post-match in which he alluded to Ryan Yates looking like the son of Forest skipper Michael Dawson.
