Juventus are preparing for another major attacking rebuild after a disappointing return from last summer’s spending spree.
The Serie A giants brought in a host of forward players ahead of the current campaign, including Jonathan David, Edon Zhegrova, Loïs Openda, Nico González, Francisco Conceição and Jeremie Boga, hoping the fresh arrivals would fire the club back into title contention.
Instead, the majority have struggled to truly make an impact. Openda has endured a particularly difficult season in front of goal, while Zhegrova already appears likely to depart after failing to establish himself in Turin.
As a result, Juventus are once again exploring the market for attacking reinforcements — and attention has now turned towards a Chelsea player once described as “fantastic” by former Blues boss Enzo Maresca.
Juventus Exploring Move for Nicolas Jackson
Juventus are reportedly considering a move for Nicolas Jackson ahead of the summer transfer window as they search for fresh options in attack.
The Senegal international is still owned by Chelsea but spent the current campaign on loan at Bayern Munich, where his long-term future now appears uncertain.
According to reports in Germany, the Bundesliga champions have decided against activating the option to sign the striker permanently despite his respectable return of 10 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.
BILD claim Juventus are now closely monitoring the situation and could explore a loan move of their own in the coming weeks.
The Italian side are believed to value Jackson’s pace, movement and ability to stretch defences, qualities they feel have been lacking in their frontline this season.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to oversee another significant squad reshuffle this summer after a turbulent campaign, meaning several players could become available under the right conditions.
Whether Juventus formalise their interest remains to be seen, but with Bayern seemingly stepping away from a permanent deal, the door could now open for the Old Lady to test the waters.
