Brighton & Hove Albion will not be recalling defender Ben White from his loan spell at Leeds United in January, according to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The centre-back has been an ever-present for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season, starting all 16 of their Championship fixtures to date (Transfermarkt).
In his temporary spell at Elland Road, he has been extremely impressive, helping the club keep eight clean sheets already (Transfermarkt).
Any concerns that his form would lead to his parent club recalling him in January were denied by a source which told the Yorkshire Evening Post that there is “no chance” that will be happening.
It is thought that the only way the Seagulls could have taken him back to the Amex Stadium was if White hadn’t played a certain amount of games, but with him being a regular and a key player for Bielsa this season, that won’t apply (Yorkshire Evening Post).
That news is music to the ears of Leeds United’s supporters, who have been delighted with how he has performed for the club so far:
