Plenty of Leeds United fans have been left frustrated after they received an update on Kalvin Phillips in the aftermath of their narrow win over Middlesbrough.
According to Marcelo Bielsa (per Leeds Live), the £9.9m-rated (as per Transfermarkt) Englishman remains a doubt for Saturday’s clash against Hull City. The Argentine didn’t stop there with the bad news as he went on to confirm that Jean-Kevin Augustin is definitely out for the fixture against the Tigers, which had left some fans venting their fury earlier.
Phillips had only just returned for the Yorkshire outfit following his red card in the loss away to Queens Park Rangers. The uncertainty over his fitness will be a bitter blow to Bielsa especially after his performances against Brentford and Bristol City.
Some fans were left bemoaning the latest update on his fitness as they took to Twitter to react:
So close to playing yesterday but a no for Saturday? Makes sense…

This isn’t helping my anxiety about all this, Phil 😭🙈😬

Typical Leeds. Phillips won’t play until his dreadlocks have grown another inch, and Big Kev injured jogging for his morning steak slice from Greggs.

Meanwhile, other fans resorted to sarcasm in displaying their frustrations:
Thanks for cheering us up Phil !
