Lots of Leeds United fans are gushing over Stuart Dallas after The Athletic’s Phil Hay selected him as the Whites’ Player of the Year.
The football writer revealed he has picked the versatile player for the award via social media, admitting that it was a difficult decision as there were several top contenders, including the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Ben White.
Dallas is one of the longest serving members of Marcelo Bielsa’s side and has been deployed in a number of different positions for the Peacocks throughout the season so far, putting in a defensive shift at the back, and marshalling the midfield when called upon (WhoScored).

After arriving at Elland Road from Brentford for just over £1m in 2015, the Northern Irishman has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 37 games for United this term, registering 1.6 shots per game, averaging 2.2 tackles, and making 1 interception on average in the English second tier (WhoScored).
Irrespective of the fact he has put in a shift all over the pitch, the 29-year-old’s market value is priced at a mere £2.16m according to Transfermarkt, although supporters will be delighted to discover he penned a new contract extension in September, keeping him at the club until at least 2023.
Due to his impressive displays over the course of the campaign, it is hardly surprising many LUFC supporters are overjoyed by Hay’s choice, with some dubbing Dallas as “class” and “outstanding,” while another simply added he is a “wonderful ambassador.”
