Many Leeds United fans have reacted to a claim by pundit Beren Cross that the club already have a replacement for Ben White if the centre-back does not stay on at Elland Road.
Joining the Yorkshire club on a one-year loan deal from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion last summer, White has been one of the most in-form and consistent players for Marcelo Bielsa’s side – as per WhoScored, he was won the second-most aerial duels at Leeds with 2.8 per game and made the most interceptions with 2.3 per game.

Such good performances have gained the youngster a sterling reputation, gaining interest from the likes of Liverpool, who are said to be keen on making a summer bid. Set to return to his parent club when the Championship season comes to an end, The Whites are still hopeful that a second loan spell or permanent move could be made.
Whilst White’s future is unknown, Cross has looked at a potential replacement in Gaetano Berardi, who has found playing time hard to come by this term. The Swiss 31-year-old will see his contract expire this summer, but Cross has called on the club to offer him a new deal to provide cover if White leaves the club.
