Leeds United: Fans vote for Ben White as player of the year so far

Leeds United fans were giving out their vote for one man they think is the player of the year so far.

One Twitter account dedicated to the Whites questioned fans on the matter and a large chunk of the supporters seemed adamant that Ben White was the player.

A supporter was so strong in his belief that White deserved the accolade, he claimed the centre-half has eclipsed former Elland Road ace, Pontus Jansson.

It’s Ben White. We left a huge Jansson filled hole in the summer and he’s come in and eclipsed him.

The Brighton and Hove Albion player joined the club in the summer on a season-long loan deal and has shone ever since his arrival.

He averages the most clearances, interceptions and the joint-fourth most tackles per game of any player in Marcelo Bielsa’s side (via WhoScored).

His form has been so good, he has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Fans were sure that the 22-year-old deserved to be noticed as the club’s player of the season at this stage of the campaign as they took to Twitter to react.
