Leeds United made it two pre-season wins from two on Thursday by defeating Guiseley A.F.C 2-1 in a game which saw one of their new signings make a real impression.
Brought in on an initial season-long loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers which will be made permanent in 2020 (via BBC Sport), Helder Costa produced a fantastic debut performance at Nethermoor Park against the National League North outfit.
After Guiseley opened the scoring in the ninth minute, the Whites winger stepped up to the mark in the second-half by notching a superb equaliser which saw him dribble past three players before expertly slotting home (via the Yorkshire Evening Post).
With just over 10 minutes remaining in the clash, Costa then turned provider as he set up Mateusz Bogusz who volleyed in the winner for Leeds.
Reacting to the standard of the 25-year-old’s display on Twitter, plenty of Leeds fans lauded him for his efforts.

Having previously achieved promotion from the Championship with Wolves in 2018, Costa will be aiming to repeat the feat with a Whites side who narrowly missed out on a return to the top-flight earlier this year following their 4-3 aggregate defeat to Derby County in the play-offs (via BBC Sport).
Although these are still early stages for the Portuguese winger, his performance yesterday illustrated a great deal of promise.
