After arriving at the Etihad as Manchester City manager back in 2016, one of Pep Guardiola’s first courses of action was to find a new goalkeeper.
Claudio Bravo was brought in – although he was shortly succeeded by Ederson – to replace Joe Hart as Manchester City’s No.1 with Guardiola deeming the England shot-stopper surplus to requirements.
£9m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Hart has since had unsuccessful loan spells both in Italy and England with Torino and West Ham, but is now finally set to leave the Etihad after a 12-year spell on a permanent deal.
And according to Oddschecker a shock move to the MLS could be on the cards.
Even after a load of unconvincing performances with West Ham at the London Stadium last season, it is still a surprise to see a lack of interest in Hart from other Premier League clubs.
Take a look at what Manchester City supporters have had to say on Hart’s expected departure below…

Don’t think Hart is quite the Angel that has been made out in this whole situation, and think he must take some burden of responsibility rather it all being “Pep forced him out” etc. Still, he’ll forever be a City hero
