Middlesborough star broke searing PL record this weekend

Not always the most vocal in the Transfer Tavern, the Middlesbrough fans have been encouraged in recent days.

The Teeside outfit were dreadful in the loss to Watford last week, though Aitor Karanka’s side proved thoroughly impressive away at Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Though they were unable to take all three points off the Gunners, there were indeed signs there is still fight in the North East outfit yet.

One of the major plusses was the performance of Adama Traore, who was a rather surprising inclusion ahead of Stewart Downing.

Undoubtedly a hugely talented player, the Spaniard struggled to impose himself often enough during a terrible spell with Aston Villa last season.

However, the former Barcelona youngster was in fine fettle at the Emirates on Saturday and even broke a Premier League record, much to the delight of the Riverside faithful propping up the bar.

As tweeted by notable journalist Duncan Castles, the 20-year-old produced the fastest ever recorded sprint in the competition at a ridiculous 37kph.
