Manuel Pellegrini has overseen a lot of change at West Ham in recent months, yet still, their league position doesn’t reflect their increased efforts in the transfer market.
After spending a lot of money over the summer, fans were likely convinced West Ham would quickly shoot up the table but in reality, it just hasn’t happened.
With an easier looking run of fixtures up until Christmas, those players have another chance to propel themselves up the league, before the January transfer window opens.
There is no doubt West Ham will be investing once again, with a midfielder likely to be at the top of their priorities, due to the injuries they have had in that area already this season.
With that in mind, the ideal player for the Hammers could be Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny, a player who is likely to leave sooner rather than later.
Elneny, who is valued at £9 million on Transfermarkt, has found opportunities at Arsenal this season very hard to come by.
Whilst Mohamed Elneny is definitely an experienced player, Unai Emery has been more inclined to give the younger players a chance to show what they’re all about. Therefore, the 26-year-old is yet to play in the Premier League this season and has just four cup appearances.
Elneny is a tough-tackling, no-nonsense midfielder who would do a great job at West Ham, alongside former colleague Jack Wilshere.
With 69 caps for Egypt and 76 appearances for Arsenal, Elneny could help the likes of Declan Rice improve his game, whilst he also helps the club reach the top ten of the Premier League.
