Everton manager David Moyes has hinted at a busy summer transfer window for the club, stating he suspects to be “well supported” by the club’s new owners. Speaking to TalkSport, Moyes said the club is looking to be very active in the transfer window ahead of their historic move away from long term home Goodison Park.
When asked by host Ally McCoist if Everton will be busy this summer, Moyes responded: “I think we will be.”
“The new owners have come in and we’re trying to find our way with them. They’re American and we are just trying to catch up with things.”
He continued: “So there is a lot of things we are trying to put in place. I’ve got a good idea of what the club needs and what the people want. And moving to a new stadium and what it’s going to mean for them as well.”
“I suspect us to be well supported in the transfer market.”
“I don’t think it will be outrageous but I think we’ll be able to do a bit of business.”
Everton set for summer of change

Everton said goodbye to Goodison Park in style with a 2-0 win over Southampton on Sunday. The club’s home since 1892 will now serve as the home of Everton Women, as the men’s team looks to begin a new era in their new state-of-the-art ground on Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
Californian businessman Dan Friedkin agreed to fund the final financing of the move when he completed his approximate £500m takeover of the club in December 2024. He purchased a 94.1 percent stake from Farhad Moshiri, ushering in what Evertonians will hope to be an exciting new dawn at the club.
“All the Evertonians have been waiting for this for a long, long time now,” Moyes said about the move.
“Even since I was there for the first time, they were talking about a new stadium move, we were gonna get a new ground. But it’s about to happen now.”
Rumours have circulated about both incomings and outgoings at the club this summer.
Striker Beto has been linked with a move away from the club with newly promoted Leeds circling, while Moyes admitted the Everton would be interested in a move for in demand Ipswich striker Liam Delap.
Everton currently have 15 players who are out of contract next month, including long serving goal scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has yet to agree a new deal. Three more of those players have already been confirmed to be departing, with the club announcing Ashley Young, Asmir Begovic, and Joao Virginia are all set to leave at the end of June.
