Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see some smart business in this window and could be about to see just that according Simone Zaza’s agent, quoted by The London Evening Standard.
Whilst they obviously want to see in-comings during this window they also want to see Slaven Bilic get rid of the deadwood in January, too, and that could be about to happen with one of the biggest flops of the season.
Simone Zaza has had a shocking year up until now with many here by the bar completely dumbfounded as to why the Hammers went for him and now it looks like he could be on his way out.
The Italian is on loan from Juventus and has yet to score a goal whilst his agent, and father, Antonio, has made comments that he’ll soon be on his way back to his homeland.
Zaza Snr said:
“He’ll come back to Serie A, some clubs have already been in touch.”
It looks as though, then, that Zaza’s ill-fated spell in east London could be about to come to an end and it now remains to be seen if the Hammers go after a new striker to help Andy Carroll out up top.
