The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been ripping into their manager, Paul Heckingbottom, after the comments he’s made about the impact he’s had at Elland Road since taking over. A story by Phil Hay in the Yorkshire Evening Post has quotes from Heckingbottom, where he claims he was disappointed with his early impact but says there are no excuses for Leeds current poor form.
The Leeds fans propping our bar up have almost given up on seeing their side win another football match in 2018. The club’s solitary 1-0 win over Brentford in February was their only victory since the turn of the year and the club looked destined to suffer another year in England’s second tier. The Elland Road faithful saw their side drop to 14th on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at home to struggling Sheffield Wednesday.
Paul Heckingbottom seems to be well on his way to joining the long list of ex-Leeds United managers in the summer, as Andrea Radrizzani will be looking to gain promotion next season after the current campaign’s disappointment. The Whites came into the season with high hopes of finally making a return to the Premier League for the first time since their relegation in the 2003/04 season. Although with the club drifting in midtable and a whopping 12 points of off 6th placed Middlesbrough, fans of the Yorkshire club are doomed to suffer another year out of the top flight.

What the heck(ingbottom) did ppl expect. Horrendous appointment from day 1. Losing record at Barnsley, was never going to install any confidence in the players. Plus his comments about Leeds beforehand were ridiculous. Pathetic by the owners.
