West Ham are looking to progress up the Premier League table and with a talented group of players, there is no reason why they cannot achieve just that.
Despite a rocky start under Manuel Pellegrini, the Hammers currently sit in striking distance of the top half, if they put together a string of consistent performances.
Consistency though, has been their biggest problem this season as it’s well over a year since West Ham won back-to-back Premier League games.
There have been plenty of reasons as to why that statistic is still in existence but, ultimately, it’s been because of their poor form at times in defence and sometimes in attack.
To solve that, West Ham are surely set to invest more money in January to ensure they buy a top new left-back and right-back.
Left-Back first and a good move to make would be signing Olympiacos’ Leonardo Koutris.
Koutris, who is valued at £1.8 million on Transfermarkt, would make a brilliant signing for West Ham which could spell the end for either Aaron Cresswell or Arthur Masuaku.
He has recently made his way back into the starting line-up for the Greek side and has quickly gained two assists in just six matches so far.
At the age of 23, Koutris has recently made his debut for the Greek national team, showing his progression at club level.
West Ham have found the left-back role to be problematic as both Cresswell and Masuaku have made big mistakes in games, hence the desire to sign a new one so soon.
If they trust Pellegrini to recruit again, eventually, West Ham could make their way up the table with a more stable defence.
