Things have seemingly turned around at West Ham United of late, ever since the Dimitri Payet saga was aired publicly, with the Hammers recording wins in the first two games without him. It seems the tide had turned on Slaven Bilic, who had been enduring a miserable second campaign, and the Hammers looked to be on the up.
Which is why reports today suggesting the Croatian was again under pressure in east London have shocked the Irons propping up our bar. It’s claimed former Manchester City and Inter Milan chief Roberto Mancini is being lined up as a potential replacement following their 4-0 thumping at the hands of City during midweek.
While that was obviously a disappointing result for those in claret and blue to take, the form of Pep Guardiola’s front three really would have torn most sides apart, so it’s fair to say some of our punters believe this could be somewhat of an overreaction.
So, with that said, here’s how Twitter reacted to the Mancini rumours.
Roberto Mancini being lined up to replace Slaven Bilic at @WestHamUtd apparently. I like bilic, but his days look numbered now. #COYI

So we lose 4-0 against one of the best teams, Mancini's watching and now everyone's calling time on Bilic? Absolute plebs. #COYI

Feel so sorry for the people that went to that game after work. Refund!! Awful showing! What's Mancini doing in the directors box? #whufc
