West Ham are doing much better in recent weeks with an upturn in form giving manager Slaven Bilic a bit of rest bite in terms of the pressure on his shoulders at the London club. 

The Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern have had much more of a spring in their step of late, and talk at the bar has been about what promises to be a frantic final few days in the transfer window.

With the Dimitri Payet saga coming to an end, attention will now no doubt turn to who the Hammers can bring in before the deadline on Tuesday.

However, there are also a few other players in the West Ham squad who could be looking over their shoulder, with their position in the squad not guaranteed under Bilic.

Our landlord thinks Bilic might well ship a few more out this month, and with that in mind, we’ve taken a look at TWO West Ham players who need to be axed before the window slams shut on Tuesday…

Diafra Sakho

The Hammers striker has been out of form and has carried numerous injuries over the last 12 months, and he could well be one who is moved on by Bilic.

The pacey front man has bags of ability, but a mix of attitude problems and his injuries make him a likely candidate to be sold.

With Andy Carroll in such good form, there is little chance for Sakho to get in the team, which is another factor which could decide his fate.

Arthur Masuaku

The left back has not been with the Hammers all that long, but it would be no great shame or shock to see him moved on.

With Aaron Cresswell a better option at left back and the introduction of another left sided player in Robert Snodgrass, it might well be that Masuaku is moved on for a fee this window, giving Bilic time to assess other options leading into the summer window.
