Sheffield United: Blades fans react to Lys Mousset’s latest update

Many Sheffield United fans have responded to the announcement that Lys Mousset will represent the Blades in the ePremier League FIFA 20 Invitational tournament.

The sporting world has ground to a halt in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Given the circumstances, clubs have been coming up with novel ways to keep supporters entertained in the absence of the beautiful game, and the Premier League has unveiled a brand new esports initiative to provide some lighthearted relief and raise funds for the NHS.

Since arriving at Bramall Lane from AFC Bournemouth for £9.9m last summer, Mousset has featured in 23 games in the English top flight for Chris Wilder’s side, scoring 5 goals, producing 4 assist, taking 1.4 shots per game, averaging just 0.7 key passes, and completing at least 1 dribble on average up until now (WhoScored).

While it is fair to say his time with the South Yorkshire outfit hasn’t quite worked so far, a large portion of the SUFC faithful will be hoping the 24-year-old can demonstrate his prowess with a controller instead.

Naturally, the club’s tweet prompted loads of reactions from the SUFC fan base, with one supporter dubbing the news “awesome,” and another adding the Frenchman is a “top baller.”
