West Brom: Fans praise Filip Krovinovic after he scores the opener against Millwall

West Brom took a huge stride forward in their promotion push after they overcame Millwall with a very impressive 2-0 victory at The Den.

After promotion rivals Fulham, Brentford and Nottingham Forest all won on Saturday to close the gap at the top, there was a lot of pressure on the Baggies to respond. They and Leeds have faltered since the New Year and have surrendered much of their lead at the top as a result, but several players stepped up for the visitors on Sunday and the team now has a four-point buffer to third-placed Fulham.

Slaven Bilic should be delighted with his players as it is only Millwall’s third home defeat this term, particularly Filip Krovinovic, who displayed brilliant skill and technique to curl in the opener for the visitors. That was one of 29 shots from West Brom, who showed they still possess a fierce attacking threat when Grady Diangana is unavailable, and that shows the strength of their promotion bid.

A third clean sheet in four games is always cause for delight but fans have concentrated on one figure in their praise – Krovinovic. Here are some of the things being said about the midfielder.
