Southampton are willing to give manager Ralph Hasenhuttl time to turn things around at the club, according to the Daily Mail.
The Austrian has overseen a poor start to the season, with the Saints currently inside the bottom three.
The report also stated that the players have concerns that Hasenhuttl won’t be able to turn things around to keep the club in the Premier League, worrying a number of supporters online. Indeed, the Austrian has been in charge for little over a year now, though this season has seen them struggle as much as before.
Now, they face a crucial run of fixtures over the festive period, starting with Aston Villa, currently only above them on goal difference.
The Saints finish 2019 with a trip to Chelsea before hosting Crystal Palace, needing to build on the momentum of recent results.
They beat relegation rivals Watford and Norwich before slumping again in recent weeks, falling to defeats against Newcastle and West Ham, so it has been a case of one step forward, two steps back of late.
Fans aren’t preparing to turn on Hasenhuttl, laying more of the blame at the feet of the players.

Sadly it’s what happens when you continuously sell your best players and replace them with cheap options. Really hope they prove me wrong and can stay up, but just not sure we are good enough.
