Tottenham fans have been getting a bit excited about Emmanuel Adebayor recently.
Nobody is unable to stop praising the ‘inspired’ decision from Tim Sherwood to bring him ‘back in from the cold’, and have been impressed by the way he has ‘repaid the manager’s faith’ time and again.
His brace against Newcastle United on Wednesday took his tally to the season to eight Premier League goals in 10 matches.
It also ensured that Spurs kept the heat on Liverpool, as they trail Brendan Rodgers’ side in fifth place by just three points.
And perhaps most importantly, it inspired this viral image, showing Adebayor as the star of his own motion picture – a remake of ‘Man on Fire’.
Never one to shy away from the limelight, Adebayor posted the picture on his Instagram account.
In fairness, he has reignited Tottenham’s season, and with 12 games to go his goals could make all the difference to whether Champions League football is back at White Hart Lane next season.
