Don’t you just love football agents? No, nobody does. Which is why they live horrid little half lives smelling vaguely of stale fags, stale coffee and old train seats.
It is alleged that enquiries for Vucinic, the 27 year old superstar were summarily rebuffed in the last window. Tottenham got more knock-backs than a double glazing telemarketeer in January so they probably didn’t take it personally.
The Mirror have suggested that Blackburn are interested in the Roma striker, but quite how they would go about securing a player this expensive when the new owners have just remortgaged the club’s training ground is beyond me.
Liverpool, claimed Metro.co.uk are also in the frame, but quite why their name has been thrown into this I do not know. There may have been interest prior to Suarez and Carroll, but surely not at this stage. More agent talk?
The real obstacle, if the player, his agent, his club etc etc were to consent to a move, might welll be his wages. Rumoured to be in the region of €80,000 + per week, this would be a classic Tottenham fail in the making.
