Great news for Spurs fans. The team for this afternoon’s game is out and back in is the man who took us out of the Group Stages. Tottenham’s Jermain Defoe.

Defoe looked as hungry as you like against Slovenia on Wednesday.Yes, the ball was a bit of a shin in, but what it demonstrated was his positioning and desire above all else.

Defoe has scored some sensational goals domestically, but has yet to realyl net any eye catchers for country (although I’m sure he’d beg to differ) so maybe, just maybe this could be his moment. And he won’t get many more credible opportunities than against the Würst Wavers.
