The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern think that the Blues are lacking a player like John Terry at present. For them, it was no coincidence that their side fell off the tracks when the Stamford Bridge icon left the club.
It seems that Chelsea fans agree with that sentiment, as when questioned on the matter, they certainly seem to be behind the prospect of a move.
A whopping 71% of polled Chelsea fans voted in favour of a move when questioned, whereas just 29% are against the idea of a deal.
Lascelles is certainly a player deserving of a move up the table, and given Chelsea’s defensives struggles, he’d offer far more than just leadership to this team.
The passion, determination and quality that he offers are exactly what the Blues are lacking right now – and though he wouldn’t necessarily be a cheap signing, the 24-year-old would be worth every penny.
Perhaps he’d be an ideal partner for Andreas Christensen, who has impressed over the last year.
