Following their incredible start to the season, things are slowing down at Leeds United where a sequence of poor performances and results has seen Bielsa’s men drop down to 2nd place – only three points above 3rd placed Sheffield United.
The Argentine, who looked sure to hold all the answers to Leeds’ long-term struggles, will need to come with another plan quickly to rescue their title, or even promotion, hopes.
Fortunately for him, there’s a whole host of answers awaiting their chance to really make an impact in the first-team and catapult their way into Leeds United folklore.
With that in mind, here are two wonderkids fans will absolutely adore by the end of 2019…
Kun Temenuzhkov
The Bulgarian youth international made his way over from FC Barcelona’s famous La Masia in July 2017 and has been settling into life in West Yorkshire rather nicely.
A first-team debut against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup was shortly followed by a brace a day later for the under-23s. His performances did well to catch the attention of the coaches as well, with professional development stage coach Danny Schofield encouraging the player further:
“Kun made his first team debut the other day so he was full of confidence going into the game today. That was the message. So you’ve had a little taster of it, keep performing, keep working as hard as you can, keep scoring goals to get there again.” (source: LUTV).
Indeed, Bielsa’s approach to promoting youth is every bit as exciting for Kun Temenuzhkov who will have seen that he’s more than willing to offer opportunities to those most deserving, regardless of age.
Jack Clarke

18-year-old Jack Clarke has already made a number of performances for the first-team and is surely considered one of the most promising prospects going forwards.
His refreshing direct and fearless approach is something you rarely get with more experienced players, and it’s working wonders for his stock around the club.
Although his stats suggest there’s a long way to go in terms of his end product, with only 2 goals and 2 assists in 16 appearances, he can be forgiven as they have predominately arrived off the bench.
Anyone who watched the Derby match will know full well what Clarke is capable of, and it’s truly exciting times for the club if he sees more time on the pitch in 2019.
