The Spurs supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are a pretty pleased bunch right now as their team sit on the cusp of something great following yet another fine season.

The Londoners are in decent form and look well on course to secure a second successive top four finish in the Barclays Premier League, much to the delight of the regular Spurs-supporting drinkers here in the Tavern.

Harry Kane is currently out with an ankle injury but there is still lots to be positive about for Spurs, with the club boasting some of the country’s finest young players and also preparing for an FA Cup semi-final.

Some Spurs punters have started discussing who their standout performers have been this season, whilst others are pointing the finger at certain players who haven’t been quite as good this time around.

Moussa Sissoko

The Frenchman had a superb Euro 2016 campaign last summer, prompting Spurs to part with a big fee for the former Newcastle midfielder’s services.

His form hasn’t been that of such an expensive player, however, and a couple of Spurs supporters here in the Tavern are claiming that he has been one of the biggest flops of the season in the Premier League.

Sissoko has made just six starts in the Premier League this season, the last coming all the way back in December.

Georges Kevin-N’Koudou

The young French winger signed for Spurs last summer and unfortunately for him, he hasn’t played a massive part in the club’s 2016/17 campaign – racking up just 36 minutes’ worth of action in the top flight.

The 22-year-old could well be one for the future but at this moment in time it has to be said that his career is beginning to stagnate somewhat, considering the enormous potential he showed at former club Marseille.

Without a doubt, N’Koudou is starting to go backwards – a loan move away from White Hart Lane may well be on the cards next season.
