For the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, it doesn’t get much bigger than a clash against Man Utd. The two sides are set to face off on Wednesday evening in a game that could have lasting implications in the context of the season.
Tottenham are some way behind their Manchester rivals at present, and a loss will see them fall further behind the leading pack. If they fail to win, then, the prospect of challenging even close to the top of the table could become a mere pipedream for our resident Lilywhites.
It doesn’t just stop there, either. Tottenham have a number of big games on the horizon, with clashes with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal also forthcoming over the coming weeks. In truth, it’s becoming a season-defining period for them.

Though that doesn’t serve as confirmation of their impending availability, it certainly suggests that they are edging closer to that end.
