Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure a top-four spot this season, after a disappointing exit from Europe in the current campaign.
Spurs have been sensational in recent times as they remain on course for a top-four finish, with Champions League glory the aim for next season. Although, the Lilywhites did suffer a setback on the transfer front yesterday, as according to reports in the Sun, Ryan Sessegnon could snub Tottenham if current club Fulham earn promotion to the Premier League.
Ryan Sessegnon is arguably the hottest property outside of the Premier League after an incredible season with the Cottagers, as he continues to be watched by some of England’s biggest clubs.
The teenager has been a longstanding target for Spurs as they’re supposedly readying a bid for him in the summer months, but this could all come to nothing if his current club Fulham earn promotion to the Premier League, as Sessegnon has made it clear that he would be happy to stay if this was the case.
The Cottagers are currently in third position in the Championship but are seven points off second-placed Cardiff City in the automatic promotion places. So, if Fulham are to make it to the top-flight then it looks as if this will be via the play-offs, something that many of our local residents will be watching closely as it’s believed that the teen sensation would favour a move to Spurs if they fail.

This is a huge blow for Spurs as Fulham are one of the form teams in the Championship at this moment in time, which could mean that the Englishman snubs any approach in the future. Although, supporters should remain hopeful as he could still join in the summer transfer window, with Tottenham being the preferred destination.
