It wasn’t a good night for Tottenham on Wednesday, with the Lilywhites falling to a late goal against PSV. Despite leading for much of the fixture, they ended up drawing 2-2 – a disappointing result for the club.
That now puts them in a very difficult position in their Champions League group, with qualification now looking like a very difficult task for Mauricio Pochettino
The blame for the disappointing game can be put down to a number of individuals, but it’s tough to look past Hugo Lloris as being at fault for the draw. He was sent off for a challenge on Hirving Lozano, leaving Michel Vorm to take the reigns over in the closing stages.
Whilst Vorm isn’t a bad ‘keeper by any means, Heung-min Son was taken off to accommodate the substitution, and that left Spurs with only 9 outfield players for the closing stages.
This clearly had an impact – and Tottenham fans online are letting Lloris know about it. They’re furious with the Frenchman, who has been very inconsistent this season.
