Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters wants to stay on loan and finish the season with Southampton, as per Sky Sports via @thespursweb. The youngster hopes his parent club will allow him to remain with the Saints if football finally returns in June.
According to Sky Sports, Premier League clubs voted to extend contracts for loan signings earlier this week. Although Walker-Peters has only played one game under Ralph Hasenhuttl so far, the south coast side want to help him develop as a player and are keen to keep hold of him in the summer.
The Tottenham academy graduate is considered surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho and the board are willing to listen to offers for the defender in the upcoming transfer window (as per Sky Sports). Having broken into the first team under Mauricio Pochettino, the 23-year-old has made 24 Spurs appearances in total but was shipped out to St Mary’s Stadium in January.

Spurs are interested in his teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and the right-back could be used in negotiations between the two teams in the coming months.
Unsurprisingly, loads of Lilywhites fans blasted the Englishman on Twitter, with one fan pleading with Daniel Levy to “get rid” of Walker-Peters, and another urging the board to swap him for Hojbjerg.
