Danny Rose is one player who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. The 28-year-old full-back has found himself in hot water at Tottenham before for some comments on the club’s transfer policy when he claimed he doesn’t want the club to sign players that ‘he has to google’. However, this time around, his comments have been much blunter as he’s claimed there won’t be any new signings this January.
Danny Rose: “Mauricio Pochettino unlikely to be given funds by Tottenham Hotspur for January signings”.

When the left-back last spoke about transfers and got himself into trouble, he claimed that he had one more gib contract left in him and would love to play football back in the north of England again, sparking rumours linking him with Manchester United. However, he’s stayed put at Spurs and come back from his injury problems. On Tuesday evening he was sublime against Barcelona and the fans are appreciating his form on the pitch, and his straight-talking off of it.
If Rose is correct and Mauricio Pochettino isn’t given any money to sign new players in January then the Tottenham fans will have to wait even longer for a new player, which will make their way for a signing to at least 16 months, depending on how early the club acts when the summer window rolls around, if they make any moves at all that is. The Lilywhites are all desperately hoping Rose is wrong, but either way they’re glad he’s come out and addressed the issue that the fans have been asking about.
You can read the Lilywhites’ responses to Rose’s comments here:
Danny is the only one on our team who tells it how it is and doesn’t bullshit the fans, lucky to have him.

Yeah, because Danny will be all over the monthly accounts and cash flow forecasts
Should stick to playing full back, which he is doing a fine job at!!— SeanAFCTHFC (@kintoredon) 12 December 2018

Oh Danny stfu, concentrate on staying healthy, work on your shooting and putting in more performances like that one against Barca.

The majority of Spurs fans appreciate Rose’s straight-talking, but it would be a surprise if Mauricio Pochettino appreciated it quite as much.
