Tottenham fans have been linked to strikers all over the world in the last week or so since Harry Kane suffered his injury against Manchester United. However, this one is particularly ambitious, as La Reppublica has linked them with a move for Roma’s experienced goal-getter, Edin Dzeko.
[La Reppublica] reports Tottenham Hotspur could aim to compensate for Harry Kane’s absence by bringing Edin Dzeko back to English football.

The Bosnian goalscorer has done exactly that everywhere he’s been. At international level, the 32-year-old has 55 goals in 99 games whilst in his time at Roma he’s managed 80 in 158. That record of scoring roughly every other game is one that Dzeko will be very proud of, and if he does get an unlikely move to Tottenham then the Lilywhites will be desperate for him to continue scoring at that rate.
If the Lilywhites do end up prising Dzeko from Rome to London then it will be the strikers’ second spell in English football. The Bosnian was a reliable hitman at Manchester City between 2011 and 2015, a spell in which he was again as prolific as you like, with 72 strikes in 189 games as he had to compete with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli for a starting spot.

Wouldn't mind Dzeko. We were linked when he left City to.

The Lilywhites would love to sign Dzeko this month, but a lot of the fans understand how unlikely this one is.
