Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to show their joy at the prospect of Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembélé returning to action today.
The midfield duo have been out for a number of weeks, in which time the club endured a loss at home to Spanish giants Barcelona in the Champions League. While the team’s results were not too catastrophic, the performances were not too inspiring, and the creative duo’s absence was noticed. The fans are clearly very happy indeed about the Dane and Belgian’s returnt.
Tottenham currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League, only two points behind joint leaders Man City, Chelsea, and Liverpool. The bonus of a number of their stars returning will surely give fans a lot of confidence that the team can continue to push the leaders all the way.
The Lilywhites head to the London Stadium today to take on rivals West Ham in what looks to be a very intriguing affair.
