Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Spurs central-midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is pictured in his kitchen.
In the post, which was uploaded by Lilywhite Rose on Twitter, the 23-year-old is pictured in a rather flashy green, red and black matching tracksuit, while sitting on a countertop in his kitchen.
In reaction, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinion on the image, with many joking that the fact Ndombele is in the kitchen is not overly surprising, following claims that the Frenchman has looked overweight at times this season.
Although fans of the club are obviously concerned with the amount of time that their £58.5million-rated midfielder is spending in the kitchen, their opinions are not without a base.
In Ndombele’s last season at Lyon, the Frenchman scored one goal and provided an impressive seven assists over 34 Ligue 1 appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.99.
In addition to this, the 23-year-old scored a further two goals in his eight Champions League appearances, a competition in which he averaged a remarkable WhoScored match rating of 7.40.
However, since arriving at Spurs for £54million last summer, Ndombele has made just 19 Premier League appearances, and although he has scored two goals and laid on two assists, his average WhoScored match rating as dropped to just 6.76.
Similarly to his season with Lyon last season, he has performed better for Spurs in the Champions League, providing two assists and earning a WhoScored rating of 7.34.
However, both his league and European performances have declined on his last season with the French club, and with Spurs currently sitting in eighth place in the Premer League table – behind the likes of Wolves and Sheffield United – Ndombele has work to do if he is to turn around both fan opinion on him, as well as his club’s season.
