Tottenham Hotspur fans wouldn’t mind seeing Moussa Sissoko slot in at right-back after Mauricio Pochettino once again suggested that the central midfielder could play there against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Before the game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening, Pochettino hinted that the Frenchman could start on the right side of defence (via Evening Standard).
In his pre-match press conference for the match against Graham Potter’s side, the Argentine again ramped up the possibility of Sissoko playing right-back, saying he has the ‘biggest claim’ for the spot (via Alasdair Gold).
Sissoko was a prominent fixture on the right-hand side of the Spurs midfield last season, featuring 21 times out of 42 appearances in right midfield (via Transfermarkt).
The France international is one of only five Spurs players to have started in all seven Premier League games this season (via WhoScored).
Fans don’t seem to mind if Sissoko starts at right-back tomorrow afternoon as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Tottenham fans:
Tbh I’d be happy with that

Can accept that as it moves him away from the middle and hopefully stops us playing 3 centre midfielders

Only one good enough!

I think he’d be great there. I even think we could play 343 with Sissoko on the right of the 4.
