Tottenham Hotspur: Fans ask club to bring in Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been asking the club to bring in former Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez following a set of comments made by the midfielder.

Xavi has revealed that he would like to manage a Premier League club one day, praising the league and the big teams in it (via Twitter).

Current manager Mauricio Pochettino is under increasing scrutiny following the club’s poor start to the season. The Lilywhites have won just two of their seven games so far this season, throwing away a lead in three of the last four games (via WhoScored).

The Catalan-born star is currently based in Qatar, working in a managerial role at Al Sadd.

The former Spain international retired from football earlier this year and has enjoyed a hugely successful career (via Daily Sabah). The Spaniard won a mammoth 31 trophies during his playing career across both club and international football (via Transfermarkt).

It seems fans would love to see Xavi sat in the dugout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Spurs fans:
