Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring the progress of Victor Osimhen ahead of the January transfer window, that is according to TEAMtalk via Ricky Sacks.
The 20-year-old currently plays for French club Lille and has been in great form this season, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in Ligue 1 so far (Transfermarkt).
It is not the first time that Spurs have been linked with a player from Lille recently. Indeed it has been reported that they are in talks to sign Boubakary Soumare (La Voix du Nord via Get Football News France) and they are also supposedly interested in bringing in defender Zeki Celik (DHA).
There is little surprise that players from the French club are being linked with moves to Tottenham, given that the north London side recently appointed their former assistant coach Joao Sacramento as part of Jose Mourinho’s staff.
He will have an in depth knowledge of the Lille squad, so perhaps there is something in the rumours that Spurs are looking at several of their players.
It hasn’t escaped the attention of the fans that the media are continuously suggesting that players from the Ligue 1 side could join Mourinho’s men and some have been poking fun at it on social media.
