Lille are expected to sell midfielder Boubakary Soumare in the current transfer window, that is according to a report from Sky Sports.
The French under-21 international is a reported target of Tottenham Hotspur (La Voix Du Nord, via Sportsmole) so this latest development could see the north London outfit make a move for him.
Sky Sports describe the 20-year-old as a box-to-box midfielder, which is what Spurs are likely to target in this transfer window after Moussa Sissoko was ruled out until at least April due to injury (tottenhamhotspur.com).
He has been a regular for the French outfit this term, starting 13 times in Ligue 1 and six times in the UEFA Champions League (Transfermarkt).
After seeing that he was likely to leave Lille this month, several Spurs fans have urged the club to sign the youngster as they feel he would be a brilliant addition to the team, with one even suggesting that he would be their “most important transfer”.
