Tottenham Hotspur are looking into the possibility of signing Lyon striker Moussa Dembele in the current transfer window, that is according to a report from Goal.
The north London club are thought to be actively searching for a new striker after it was revealed that star man Harry Kane wouldn’t be back until April at the earlier as he requires surgery on the hamstring problem he picked up in their New Year’s Day defeat against Southampton (tottenhamhotspur.com).
They have already been linked with several strikers to fill in for Kane, including AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek (The Sun) and Napoli hitman Arkadiusz Milik (Daily Mirror). But if Goal are to be believed, it could be former Celtic forward Dembele who is their real target.
The striker has been in fine form for Lyon this term and has scored 10 goals in 18 appearances in Ligue 1 (Transfermarkt). In total the 23-year-old now has 33 strikes to his name at the French club in 73 appearances in all competitions, whilst also providing nine assists (Transfermarkt).
