Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to a transfer link from the Daily Mirror that suggests Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing in Diego Godin in the summer transfer window.
Information from the article was relayed by Ricky Sacks on Twitter, which suggested that Godin’s experience and leadership have marked him down as a potential candidate to solve the north London club’s poor defensive record this season.
Spurs have conceded 41 goals in just 26 games in all competitions this campaign under Mourinho, according to Transfermarkt, highlighting this record.
The Portuguese coach may think that Godin can help improve this record for next term. The Uruguayan international has 135 caps for his country and is also the captain, exemplifying his experience and leadership skills, as per Transfermarkt. The 34-year old has also made 531 club appearances in all competitions for Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and now Inter Milan.
These Spurs supporters seemed to be split on whether the central defender would be a good signing for them, with some fans referencing his age and one other addressing his leadership:

You need a few, he would be good leader in that shaky defence.

All these players being linked to Spurs. Hope it happens. It may as long as Daniel Levy doesn’t self isolate when he sees the cost☺️
