Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to transfer link to Marash Kumbulla

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Marash Kumbulla this summer, and have opened up discussions with Hellas Verona, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport

After breaking into the first team from Verona’s famous academy, Kumbulla has played in 18 games in the Serie A this season, completing 1.8 tackles and 2.9 clearances on average, and his impressive displays at the back have helped the Yellow and Blues mount a surprising charge up the table (WhoScored).

His displays have been so impressive that he has even been dubbed as “the new Paolo Maldini” by one outlet, as well as the “Prince of Verona,” (90min).

Despite the fact Verona were only promoted to the Italian top flight at the end of last season, the Mastiffs are currently eighth in the first division.

As expected, the Albanian international’s performances have attracted the attention of multiple suitors, including the likes of European giants Inter Milan, as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea and Everton, although it appears Jose Mourinho’s side are ready to make a move.

Predictably, loads of Spurs fans reacted to the new transfer link, with one fan labelling him as a “ball player,” and another calling him a “beast.”
