A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have decided to tear into Erik Lamela on Twitter after comments he made to the club’s official site.

Lamela has been a mainstay in the starting line-up this season having started all four of Spurs’ top-flight matches.
The Argentina international appeared to suggest that Spurs had not yet got going and that they needed to kick on with their campaign.
“Hopefully we can win the next few games and really start to push on”, he told the club’s official website.
Indeed, it would appear as a reasonable comment to make, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side have not had the best of starts to the season.
Although only four games have been played in the Premier League, Spurs have won just once and have had to settle for two draws, as well suffering what could, perhaps, have been considered a shock defeat to Newcastle United at home.
However, Tottenham fans did not appear to take too kindly to Lamela’s comments and decided to use Twitter as a way of hitting back at the South American instead.
Many of them criticised the 27-year-old on the social media site, with plenty of them wanting Pochettino to drop his compatriot for the next few games, as they felt that would be their best chance of getting the season up and running.
Here are just some of their reactions…
