Tottenham Hotspur fans were reacting negatively after reports linking them with the signing of Alex Grimaldo from Liga Nos side Benfica.
According to A Bola (via TEAMtalk), Arsenal, Napoli and the Lilywhites will battle it out to land the Spanish left-back in 2020.

The reports also state that Spurs are keen on signing two new full-backs in the upcoming January transfer window.
Grimaldo has enjoyed a successful season at the Portuguese club, making nine league appearances while assisting four goals, more than Danny Rose has provided this campaign.
As well as more assists, £28.8m-rated Grimaldo ( via Transfermarkt) averages more shots per game and more key passes per game than his English counterpart. He also averages almost double the number of tackles per game than Rose, showing his tough tackling nature (via WhoScored).
Despite the positives, fans reacted negatively to the report linking the club with Grimaldo as they took to Twitter to react.
