Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing if their side manages to sign some new players before the deadline tomorrow.
The men from north London have not had a good start to the season in all honesty with them following their opening day win with a loss and a draw at Wembley to Chelsea and Burnley respectively.
For sure, then, the club needs to act quickly and win their next game at the national stadium to put the talk of their curse there to bed for once and for all.
Whilst we wait to see how they do with that, though, it looks as though Demarai Gray is a big target of the club’s before the deadline tomorrow.
Indeed, according to The Mirror, the Leicester winger has seen a bid made for him by the Lilywhites and it could now be that he ends up there with Spurs seemingly at the front of the queue.
Gray has plenty of potential right now but doesn’t seem to play much for the Foxes and so he could be tempted by a move to the London club.
The Verdict
Gray is a very talented footballer and deserves a platform on which to play regularly and perform strongly – something he is not getting with Leicester.
He could, then, be up for a move away and Mauricio Pochettino will be thinking that he can extract the maximum potential from the winger over the coming years.
