Tottenham have upped their form to propel themselves closer to the Premier League’s top two of Liverpool and Manchester City.
It would take a lot for Spurs to suddenly be considered in the title race but all they can do is win games, something that right now, they’re doing.
Mauricio Pochettino will be delighted with how his team have been doing, despite the severe injuries a number of their key stars have obtained throughout the campaign so far.
Yet Tottenham haven’t worried and without signing a single player this season, have arguably improved as a team.
Their lack of spending cannot continue though, because Tottenham could be far better with a bigger budget to bring in some more talented players.
Instead of looking abroad and waiting for players to get used to playing in the Premier League, Tottenham should seriously consider signing Bournemouth’s David Brooks.
Brooks, (who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt) has been sensational for the Cherries this season, which will result in a number of clubs trying to sign him at the earliest possible opportunity this summer.
Having signed from Sheffield United last summer, David Brooks may have been a player few knew about but now, he is strutting his stuff and showing exactly why he is so good.
The 21-year-old Wales international was reportedly wanted by Tottenham as well last season but since his move to Bournemouth instead, Brooks has scored six goals and provided a further four assists.
Even at a young age, Brooks has demonstrated his ability and the way he plays would see him fit in well at Tottenham.
Nimble on the ball with an eye for goal, Tottenham could be recruiting another top creative midfielder.
