The left-back was not named in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Asia amid speculation over his future (per the Mirror), but with the English international failing to find a new club, Rose has been included in the squad to face off against Real Madrid in the Audi Cup (per Tottenham’s official website), and Spurs fans were more than excited.
Supporters took to social media to celebrate the return of Rose to the first-team fold, with many heading to Twitter to express their delight in the defender being named in the squad.
