It was a bad day at the office for Spurs last night as they came off 1-0 losers to West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium.
The Spurs fans here in the Tavern have been completely and utterly deflated after the result, with nine points needed to catch Chelsea with just three games to play.
Of course, mathematically it is still possible but with the Blues certain to pick up points from here until the end of the season, it seems that second place is as good it’s going to get for Pochettino and his team this season.
It’s more improvement from the third-placed finish from last season and our Spurs-mad landlord likes to think that with a good summer of investment, that the club will be up there again next season too.
But there’s one player that certainly looks to be on the move over the summer months and that’s right-back Kyle Walker, who looks set to leave after falling out with Pochettino.
And it seems that some Spurs fans weren’t at all happy with his performance last night, as we found out on Twitter…
